Shimmer Polish - Eva

*Disclaimer: this product was provided for review. All opinions in this blogpost are my own and are not influenced by anything of anyone.

I have another gorgeous Shimmer Polish for you today!

This time I'm showing you Eva. Eva has a burgundy red jelly base, with red, silver and black fine microglitters in.

You can use Eva on her own, as she builds op nicely in two coats. She dries a bit gritty because of all the microglitter, but a good top coat will smooth that out. She applies super easily, I had no issues with her at all.

However, I decided to layer her on top of Catrice Caught On The Red Carpet. The reason for this is that I just didn't like how all the glitter looked on my long nails - it was a bit too much, I think also because of my nail shape maybe? So I first had tried Eva on her own on my thumb, and that's why I know 2 coats are enough and such :) But anyway, I used the Catrice polish and one coat of Eva on the rest of my nails.

I do love how Eva looks on other people's nails though, so it's more to do with me and my nails than with Eva. And I think she looks really great on my nails with one coat: lovely colour and enough glitter!

I used one coat of the Catrice polish and one coat Of Eva. Then I used my Quick Drying Top Coat from Only You.

I decided to mattify Eva because matte glitters are jum! And yes, matte Eva is jum as well! I used my matte top coat from Claire's. I think I like Eva even more when she's mattified: it makes the red colour deeper and totally vampy! ;)

You can see all the glitter pretty good in this last close-up shot: red, silver and black. Prrrretty!

What do you think of Eva? You can see more pictures of her here on the Shimmer website! Shimmer Polishes are $12 and come in bottles of 0.5 Fl. Oz., which is approximately 14.8 ml.

Thanks for reading!
