Let's Get Pink: Some Valentine's Day Designs

Hi everyone!

I finally decided to get to work on some Valentine's Day designs! I had a week of vacation after my exams and I spent it working on my thesis a bit, but also swatching A LOT!! It was so much fun and I'm really glad I was able to swatch so much and do some designs. I was also glad I was able to make a total garish collage :D

Today I'm showing you some Valentine's Day designs I came up with. They're simple but sweet, and above all they are pink ;)

First up, this design with watercolour accent nail!

I did two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White on my index finger and pinky, and added two coats of Maybelline Sugar Crystals for some sparkle. Not very noticeable in the pictures, but you can see a slight shimmer in the picture of my nails below.

I did three coats of Essie's Cute as a Button on my thumb and middle finger and added a heart shaped rhinestone. The Essie colour looks a bit different in real life though (prettier to be exact lol).

I also did a watercolour technique on my ring finger with Catrice The Pinky And The Brain, Maybelline Tropink, Only You Love Affair, an unnamed light pink Guylond, and also with Cute as a Button.

I was inspired by this design from Love Life Lacquer with the watercolour technique and wanted to use that as an accent nail.

That was the first one! Onto the second :) Let's call it Hearts & Gradients!

I made a gradient with Sinful Colors Snow Me White, a nameless light pink Guylond polish, Maybelline Tropink, and Catrice The Pinky and The Brain

I also did two coats of Snow Me White on my middle finger and added some rhinestones, and did two coats of Rimmel's Candy Floss Cutie, a sugary textured light pink, very cute!

And then I added some heart shaped rhinestones on top of the gradient - I love how the hearts make a gradient too!

Voila, those were two really simple Valentine's Day designs! Which one do you prefer? I love elements of both of them: I really like the watercolour accent nail and I love the idea of the gradient with some added hearts on top! :D

Did you do some Valentine's Day designs yet? I'm always so late with them! Feel free to link to yours as I am currently in the mood to see some loving designs! :)

Thanks for reading!

    1. Haha no worries!! Thanks Franzi :) Yes, shorter nails!! I really love this length, I have realized that my nails look a lot better when they're not creepishly long and I think they look cute when they're short like this :) The only problem is that I will have to overcome my laziness and file them a bit more often haha!
