Shimmer Polish - Jennifer

*Disclaimer: some items in this post have been received for review. All opinions are my own and are not influenced by anyone or anything.

Hi polish lovers!

I have another gorgeous Shimmer Polish for you today! I'm showing you Jennifer, a glitter bomb with light blue pastels. Jennifer has a clear base and blue/silver is her main colour. But as always with Shimmer Polishes, there is an abundance of other colours in the glitter too which makes the polish a feast to look at!

Yeah, gorgeous right! You can spot orange, yellow, black, silver, green and pink glitters, together with a beautiful array of blue.

I decided to do a "grey weather" gradient to match up with Jennifer hehe, because the weather has turned very grey here in Belgium! I used Essie's Lapiz of Luxury and Chinchilly for the gradient.

I then used one thick coat of Jennifer on top of the gradient, and added my Fast Drying Top Coat from Only You.

On my ring finger, I did an accent nail with Jennifer on her own because I wanted to see how she'd look. As you can see, Jennifer is totally weareable on her own! I used three thick coats and then dabbed some extra glitter on near my tips.

The formula was great to work with, as with every Shimmer Polish I've tried so far. The glitters are sealed in the base coat of the Shimmer Polish already and you don't need an extra thick top coat to smooth everything out.

I think Jennifer seriously looks great! When I saw her in the bottle, I wasn't really convinced - the colours didn't immediately speak to me. But now that I have her on, I love her! The combination with the grey and blue is divine, and she adds just enough colour to the design to make it interesting!

Here are a few close-ups! On the left is Jennifer on her own (three coats + dabbing), and on the right is one coat of Jennifer on top of the gradient.

P-P-Pretty!! These colour combinations are just awesome. I especially love the orange/copper and black glitters in this one.

You can get your own Shimmer Polishes from Cindy's Etsy shop here, and you can go look at more pictures of Jennifer here on the Shimmer Polish website! Shimmer Polishes are $12 and come in bottles of 0.5 Fl. Oz. (approximately 14.8 ml).

If you love glitter polishes, I seriously recommend you check these out. The formula of every Shimmer I've tried so far is amazing, and you can use them in a full glitter mani on their own or layer them on top of another polish. What do you think of Jennifer? Thanks for reading! :)

p.s. I've tried a new lighting setup, and I love it! I feel that my pictures really look better than before, do you notice the difference?

p.p.s.: I've been super busy with school lately, sorry for not posting often! I've been wearing the same polish for the past five days because I just didn't have time to change it - luckily it's a polish I love, but I'm still looking forward to doing my nails tonight ;)

  9. This nail polish is stunning! I'm so jealous of your shimmer polish collection - they are all so stunning! The gradient you added underneath is such a great idea - I love the subtlety of it! I haven't had much time to paint my nails either - I haven't done proper nail art in 2 weeks! :( I think your new lighting set up works really well! :)
