The Nerd-Geek Challenge - Prompt 1: Favourite Character!

Hi!!!

I'm SO excited about today!! It's time for the first prompt of Franzi and mine's Nerd-Geek Challenge!! (in case you need a refreshing of what and how and why, click here for the explanation!)

Basically, we're both really into Sci-Fi and Fantasy stuff so we decided to combine our geeky side with our artistic side and do a nail art challenge! The first prompt is character - are you excited to see what I came up with? Then read on! ;) 

Oh yeah, this post will be filled with nerdy gifs because NOW IS THE TIME TO GO ALL OUT!! So be prepared :D

I'm curious! Do you immediately know which character I based this on? It's a bit abstract, but then again there are some pretty major clues in my nail art so anyone who knows the show will know the character! :D

For those who guessed and for those who didn't: it's Rose Tyler!! She is a character from Doctor Who, a sci-fi show with an alien (The Doctor) who can travel through time and space in his space ship called the T.A.R.D.I.S.!

Rose is his companion (she's the first companion since the reboot of Doctor Who in 2004) and she's my absolute favourite. Nine is my favourite Doctor, so the first season of the reboot is my favourite! :D They're also totally in love with each other btw <3 <3 (although they don't realize it at first)

I'll explain a bit how this design came to be: on my index finger, I used some water decals from Born Pretty Store - they're roses, which is very suitable for our character named Rose!

On my middle finger we have a part of the T.A.R.D.I.S. with the text "Bad Wolf" painted on it: this is from the show. Rose Tyler's alias was Bad Wolf.

On my ring finger, the British flag! Because: Rose is wearing this shirt with the British flag on it in one episode and there were a few puns about it. This shirt is definitely iconic!

And the pinky speaks for itself: space, as The Doctor and Rose travel through space.

For some reason Blogger is making this picture and the second one below wayyyy more vibrant than it actually is
- no idea why as it looks perfectly normal outside of Blogger on my laptop. So booh Blogger.

Too much polishes went into this so I won't sum them all up - if you're curious about something, feel free to ask!

And to finish this post, I had to take a picture of my nails with my pluche Dalek - that's a terrifying (but super cute) bad alien who is The Doctor's arch enemy.
