Sally Hansen - Satin Glam Taffeta & Teal Tulle

Hi!

I had such a busy week and didn't have time to post sooner or to reply to any comments yet - I'm kind of exhausted right now too so the comments will have to wait until tomorrow! However, I have just enough energy left too publish a quick post ;)

I mentioned in my recent haul post that I had picked up two Sally Hansen Satin Glams: Teal Tulle and Taffeta. Looking back I'm kind of bummed I didn't pick up the pink one too (Chic Pink) as it's such a pretty bubblegum colour! The same goes for Glam Go Gold, a gorgeous pinkish bronze colour.

But anyway, today I'm sharing my swatches of my two picks with you: Teal Tulle and Taffeta.

Let's start with Taffeta! It has a lovely soft purple colour, which reminds me of spring and flowers.

I used two coats and this polish applied very easily, no issues at all. It also dried very quickly. The only booh! thing about this one is that I got a wonky brush: there's a few hairs sticking out at the sides so I will have to trim it a bit.

I was curious to see how this polish would look with shiny top coat so I added my Top Shine from Sinful Colors. And to be honest, that didn't change all that much. It might be because that top coat sucks though, I will not buy it again, because shine? No, not as much shine as the name would have you think.

Next up, Teal Tulle!

I used two easy coats and just like Taffeta, Teal Tulle dried very quickly. No wonky brush with this one! I love this bright colour a loooot.

And a shiny version with top coat!

I also have a few close-ups so you can see that satin finish a bit better (so these are without top coat obvs). I really like this finish and the shimmer in the polishes is so pretty too!

Did you pick up any of the Satin Glams, and which ones? I wish I had picked up more lol :p

Thanks for reading!

  2. Both lovely! I didn't pick them as I'm trying to decrease the amount of polishes (hopelessly ;) ).

  4. These are pretty!
Sometimes SH chips rather quickly on me. But I still like them- they're cheap and easy to find in stores here. :)

    1. Really, they are cheap in America? You turned my world upside down right now Jacqui, I thought these were kind of expensive where you live!! Either way they're expensive here :/ Guess I will have to plan a trip to America haha!

    2. I'm going to post a satinglam swatch tmrw! I found a couple bottles at the dollar store, believe it or not. Yeah, over here the cheapest polishes are wet n wild $0.99, sinfulcolors $1.98, and certain sally hansens (like xtreme wears) are $2.99. Revlon and L'oreal are around $6. OPIs are usually $8. My favorite AVONs are $3.49, plus I get a discount :)

    1. Thanks Ananka!! That's too bad! We don't often get special Sally Hansens here either so I was surprised (and very happy) to find these!

  6. I saw them, when they were in our stores, but didn't grab one, because I'm not that into matte or velvet polishes... But I really like the shades you choose, they are perfect for spring!
