Hi everyone!!
I've been buying A LOT of polish these past few weeks - since the exams are over, I felt like I could treat myself to some goodies :) So today I'll be showing you my January - February haul! If you follow me on Facebook you might have seen some of these already - but not all of them! ;)
Let's start with the first polishes I bought: 2 Sally Hansen's from the Satin Glam collection: Teal Tulle (blue) and Taffeta (purple). I already swatched these and liked them a lot (still need to publish those swatches though).
I also got First Class Up-Grape from Catrice after seeing very pretty swatches of it.
In January, I also received a very cute package from my blogging friend Miriam (from Nail Talk). I had sent her a Tomboyish since I had two, and she sent me three gorgeous polishes in return!
From left to right: Essence Alice Had A Vision - Again; Catrice Petrolpolitan; and OPI Blue Chips. I swatched all of these already and the blog post is waiting in my vault to be published soon! I especially love the Alice polish, it's so incredibly gorgeous <3 Thank you again Miriam!
Next up, some fancy and expensive ones! (at least they're espensive here in Belgium)
I fiiiinally found OPI's Don't Bossa Nova Me Around (or as Jacqui would say, Don't Bossa Me Nova haha). I had been looking for it for a long time - it didn't seem interesting to me when the collection first came out, but if you hadn't snatched it up then it was impossible to find anywhere anymore. Until I stopped by a little beauty shop and found the last one :D
I also got OPI's My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and Essie Angora Cardi - that's right, I jumped on the marsala bandwagon! You already saw the two OPI's in my stamping post here.
And then, my most recent haul!! (okay lol in the time that I first typed up this post - 3 days ago - and now I already have a more recent haul. Oops. I'll be showing it after this one!)
Anyways, this second most recent one consists of 5 polishes, but also of 3 lipsticks and 3 pair of earrings - I know those aren't polish, but I'm still going to show them to you because 1) they're still beauty related and 2) they fit the entire "treat myself" mantra I've been having this past month! It was my birthday month and I bought this entire bunch of stuff I'm showing you now on February 28th, with the idea that it was the last day of my birthday month so if I wanted to splurge I had to do it now lol!
First up, earrings!! I love old fashioned earrings a lot, so the two on the right are so me. It was also a "3 for 2" deal so I couldn't resist getting them :) I am also always on the lookout for tiny earrings, so these hearts on the left were too cute to pass!
Then, some lipsticks!! Also a "3 for 2" deal, they really know how to get me spending money!
These are "sheer lipsticks", which means they do give off colour but not as much as a regular lipstick. I hadn't noticed that when I bought them at Yves Rocher, but I really like the fact that they're sheer because I'm not bold enough to wear a very noticeable colour on my lips. So these sheer ones are great for me!
I especially love Sienne, such a classy colour! The sheerness does depend a bit on the colour too though - Sienne is a bit more sheer than Cerise Noire.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! Some more polish :D
I saw an advertisement about the Maybelline Color Show All Access NY collection and thought NY Lover looked really cute with the hearts in it - I don't own a heart shaped glitter topper yet!! The same goes for L'Oreal Boho Look, I have lots of glitter toppers but not a lot of cutely shaped glitter toppers, if you know what I mean? So I picked up these two.
I also picked up Pure Soul from the Essence I Love Trends collection, after seeing it on Sabrina's blog - I used it already in this post.
I also got a yellow Catrice called Earnie & Birdy because it was on sale and I don't own enough yellows - unfortunately after trying it out I can advise you to not get it yourself, it was kind of streaky. Still good enough if you top it with some glitter or do a design on top though. And I caved and got the 2B Leather Effect Bordeaux because I was curious about it.
Here's a close-up of the glitter toppers: NY Lover has white hearts, and white and red hexagon glitters. Boho Look has light pink hexagons and bar glitter, and white flowers.
And then the most recent one lol: it was stil technically a birthday gift because I got a voucher from a store that sells polishes - normally the voucher only covered the price of 1 polish so that was what I was going for. It was, however, my lucky day since the polishes were discounted. I got 3 of them and only payed €1, which is pretty good in my opinion :D
As you can see, I got Crazy Brownie, Stormy Monday, and Love Me Tender from Only You.
What do you think of my hauls? Which of these polishes are your favourites?
Thanks for reading!
p.s. Only 2 days left to enter my giveaway!!
What a fantastic haul. The glitter topper from Maybelline and L'oreal would be very tempting for me too. I am very curious how they will look on your nails! I am anxious to see all your new manicures with these polishes. Have a great day and weekend!
ReplyDeleteI already tried one of them out and will try the next one tomorrow, so I hope to have them on the blog soon! ;) Thanks Andrea!
DeleteYou got a lot of interesting things!! I like the Maybelline Color Show All Access NY, both nail polishes from Satin Glam collection, only you Crazy Brownie. But I also like the color of the lipstick R 416 and the triangle earrings :D
ReplyDeleteThank you! Crazy Brownie really looks interesting, I don't own many brown polishes so I'm excited to try it!
DeleteWow, what an amazing haul! I'm so jealous of most of the polishes! ;) Especially the glitter toppers and the Alice had a vision from Essence. That one looks incredible! I'm also curious about the leather effect. Have you tried it yet? Every time I see it in the store I stop myself from buying it so as not to be disappointed. Lastly I love both triangle earrings! (I'm in my triangle phase, that's why!) :D
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see some nail art with all those polishes!
Alice Had A Vision is soooo pretty :D I'll be showing it soon! And well, you already saw the email about the leather effect ;)
DeleteYou got the nude one hahaha. I really like the Sally Hanson ones. The colors look so beautiful
ReplyDeleteI got the nude one YES! It's nice! I really wanted some more nude and neutral shades so it was perfect :) The Sally Hansens are soooo pretty <3
Deletewow, what a wonderful haul :)
ReplyDeleteI agree haha! Thank you!!
DeleteThe blue OPI, yellow Catrice and L'Oreal topper are my picks. And the blue Essence. And... ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha I can't choose top picks either!! Although, Alice Had A Vision is without a doubt one of my favourites :)
DeleteWhat beautiful polishes you got, they're all lovely <3
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanne!!
DeleteNice haul. I really like the two toppers. I will need to see if the L'Oreal is available over here! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Ananka! I really had to search for the L'Oreal topper over heer, apparently everyone really liked it because the two other colours (green and orange) were still available everywhere but the pink one was hard to find!
DeleteAngora Cardi! <3 I'm wearing that one right now! The toppers look really nice.
ReplyDeleteHaha yes I just saw your post!! I also got mine after seeing Emily's swatches, they convinded me I needed Angora Cardi! :D
DeleteAwesome haul! ^_^
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteI think "Don't Bossa Nova Me Around" is a core color in Austria... I'm not 100% sure, but I think I saw it rather often...
ReplyDeleteBut anyways, it is a nice color, which I'm seeing very often!
Oh, and welcome to the club! I think I bought about 20 bottles of various polish these last 3 weeks... :)
Really? Omg if I had known that sooner I would've just asked you! Anyway, it was a great feeling though to find it after so long :D Haha yeah, I just saw some polishes on Etsy in discount and really had to tear myself away from there because I want to buy all of them! :D
DeleteThey all look incredibly stunning! What a great haul :) I have to echo what everyone else is saying though... The two toppers look incredible, I can't wait to see how you use them :) xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Ithi! I am wearing the Boho Look topper right now haha!! I'll try to show them in a post soon :)
DeleteGreat choices! I think I'd buy all of them myself--actually have most of the ones available here. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha thanks Karen!!
