WingDust Collections - When Oceans Rise

Gorgeousness on the blog today!!

I have WingDust Collections' When Oceans Rise for you today! I won this polish a few months ago, and when I opened my gift package with 6 polishes (yeah, lucky me!) this was the polish that imediately caught my fancy. It's such a gorgeous, magical colour with golden flakes in.

I used three coats of When Oceans Rise, and added my Fast Drying Top Coat from Only You. You can still see some visible nail line here and there but I don't mind - for me, the VNL adds to the elegance of this polish (I'm not sure if that makes sense to someone?)

Normally, this is a thermal polish. But I have to be honest, I tried everything and just couldn't get this polish to change! It's supposed to be aqua blue when cold, and more see-through soft green when warm (you can see the cold state here at Iced Lacquer). When Oceans Rise was always in its warm state with me, even when I held my fingers under ice cold water it didn't change.

I'm not sure why it didn't change. However, since I won this polish I will not complain about it - it would be different if I had bought this one. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE this soft colour so I totally don't mind that this is its permanent state.

What do you think of this one? I really love how elegant and magical it looks, the gold flakes make it so gorgeous in combination with the colour of this polish!

You can see the WingDust Collections' Etsy shop here! I still have a few more of my WingDusts to show you ;) Thanks for reading!

  6. It seems like, you really have no luck with thermal polishes! :D
But like you I wouldn't mind with this polish, because I think the most stunning thing about it, are the gold flakes. I like it, but it's not really my favourite color.

    2. My comment would be exactly the same as Frankie's here; getting unlucky with the thermals and the golden flakes looking fab! I don't mind the colour though, it's not one I would pick up myself, but that doesn't mean to say I don't like it :D x

    3. Hehe yes! I do love the colour so I'm really glad with it :) I know what you mean, I'm wearing a polish right now that has a colour I would never ever pick but I quite like it now that I'm wearing it!
