Shimmer Polish - Karen

*Disclaimer: some items in this blogpost have been received for review. All opinions expressed are my own and are not influenced by anything or anyone.

Hiiiii readers!

I'm very excited about today's post, because I have another gorgeous Shimmer Polish to show you!
This time it's Karen, a clear based polish with lavender and purple glitter in. She also has pink, orange and turquoise glitter among other things, in squares and hexes.

By now, you all know the drill with Shimmer Polishes: excellent formula, amazingly intricate glitter combinations, and just super easy to use. The glitter spreads so good and don't curl, and you don't need an extra thick top coat to seal everything in because the (clear) base of the Shimmers already does that for you.

Because this is my last Shimmer Polish I got in my package to review, I did not just one but two designs with Karen! First up is a white/pink gradient with leopard print.

I used OPI's Alpine Snow, a light pink unnamed polish from Guylond, and Tropink from Maybelline for the gradient. For the leopard spot, I obviously used Shimmer Karen. I just dabbed her on with a dotting tool, and then I outlined the leopard spots with black acrylic paint.

I also did a chevron design with some stencils I had, and I put one coat of Karen on top of the gradient on my ring finger. Then I sealed everything in with my Fast Drying Top Coat from Only You.

Next up is another gradient! A bit more understated this time :)

I used my new Sinful Colors Mauve and Fairy Wings by Claire's to create a soft greyish/lavender gradient. Then I added one easy coat of Shimmer Karen and a shiny top coat from Sinful Colors :)

And another collage with some close-ups!

You can do A LOT of things with Shimmer Polishes :) If you want to look at some more designs with Karen, you can click here to see them in the Shimmer Polish gallery on her website.

Shimmer Polishes come in bottles of 0.5 Fl. Oz., which is approximately 14.8 ml, and cost $12. You can visit the Shimmer Polish Etsy shop here!

I made a collage of all the Shimmer Polishes I reviewed - the bottle shots are just too gorgeous to not shove in your face once more! :D
You can revisit my reviews of these here: Kim, Jennifer, Eva, Jasmine, Lorene, Alice, and Tammy (since you're reading the Karen one right now a link to that one is quite unnecessary!)

I also just saw on the Shimmer Facebook page that she's having a Black Friday sale too which lasts through the end of the week!! It's "buy two get one free" which is an amazing deal - just use the code BLACKFRIDAY :D I think this is a great opportunity to stock up on some Shimmers. Here's the Etsy shop!!

What Shimmer did you like most from the ones I got to review? I am still totally in love the most with Kim, but I have to say that I loved each Shimmer I got. Some really surprised me - when I saw them in the bottle I though they weren't really my colours, but when I put them on I just got overwhelmed by the intricate colour combinations and fell in love right away :)

Thanks for reading!!

    1. Haha I hadn't thought about that before but yeah, it would kind of suck if you didn't like the one with your own name on!! I'm glad you like yours - I wish I had a Shimmer Polish which shared my name! :)
