Hey There, Sailor!

Hiii everyone!

I have a quick nautical design to show you today! From the vaults, as my nails are still restoring from weeks of maltreatment due to the exams. (you see, exams are good for nothing lol)

Happy Birthday Sanne! - Black & White Recreation

Hi everyone!

Today's post is a bit special - it's to celebrate someone's birthday! And to be more specific: Sanne of Nail Polish In My Eyes's birthday :) It was actually yesterday, but I only managed to publish this post today oops.

Her boyfriend Ron contacted me and a bunch of other bloggers to ask if we wanted to collaborate on a birthday surprise for her, and yes of course I wanted to help! We just had to create some nail art and Ron would bundle everything in a surprise birthday blog post for Sanne. I thought the idea was too sweet not to participate :)

I haven't been following Sanne's blog for very long (I actually discovered her through OMD2!) but I love her designs. So for Sanne's birthday, I decided to recreate on of her designs to show how inspiring she is.

Blue Dots and Stripes!

Hi everyone!

I am suuuper happy with today's design - polka dots and stripes!
I adore polka dot designs, so I thought that the time was right to do one myself!

I used Essie's Lapiz of Luxury and FM1 by D'Orleac to create this design.

I started by painting the nails of my index finger, middle finger and pinky with three coats of Lapiz of Luxury and my thumb and ring finger with two coats of white.

I waited until everything had dried, and then I used a dotting tool to create the white dots.

After that, I did the stripes on my other two nails. I first used striping tape, but I had placed it quite badly so the stripes weren't very equal in size...
So I decided to just make them a bit thicker and more even by myself, without using striping tape.

I did this design on both my hands, because it was quite simple to do and I just loved how it looks! So cute :)

That's all! This was a pretty simple design, but it doesn't always have to be very complicated, right? Simple can look super cute, even if I say so myself :)

Thanks for reading!
