Painted Sabotage - Gargle Blaster

*Disclaimer: some items in this blog post have been previsouly received for review.

My polish loving fiends, are you ready for a gorgeous polish?

I have Painted Sabotage's Gargle Blaster for you today, which is inspired by The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy! If you read my Tomboyish post, then you'll know how I don't particularly like green polishes. Gargle Blaster, I don't like. I LOVE. I ADORE. And then some.

If this polish grew a mouth and asked me to marry him (/her/it/?), I would not only be taken aback a bit at the sudden biological changes it underwent (and slightly worried about the ingredients of the polish), but I would also scream loudly: YES. YES. Come here so I can make you my lawfully wedded polish! We would get married on a beach in Costa Rica and live our lives happily ever after, drinking cocktails, go deep-sea diving and making by-passers swoon by our gorgeousness. Wait, did I just say that out loud?

Alright, I have to mention that I took all of these pictures with my old lighting setup, so my hands look more yellow than they should. I will without a doubt wear Gargle Blaster again so I can show you less yellow pictures in a few months!

Anyway, I won my husband-to-be in a little contest on Painted Sabotage's Facebook page. I got to pick a polish from her Etsy shop and because I was lusting after Gargle Blaster for some time, I picked him. He arrived quickly (within two weeks if I recall correctly), but I left him sitting in my closet for some time. It might be because I just wasn't ready yet for the big commitment that is marriage - who knows? But now, he is out of my polish storing space and into my life!

As you can see, Gargle Blaster is a mintish green which in some lightings looks blue as well. It has fushia, silver and gunmetal glitters in it in hexagon and square shapes. I absolutely love these colour combinations.

I used three easy coats of Gargle Blaster for these pictures. I didn't put the polish upside down beforehand, and didn't have to fish for glitters - they are very well suspended throughout the base. The glitters also spread great and didn't curl. I finished off with my Nayll Smooth It Out Top Coat, which is the best polish I own to put on top of glitters.

After that, I experimented a little - in the Etsy shop there are swatches of Gargle Blaster with a matte top coat. I loved the look so I wanted to try it out for myself. I'm afraid my marriage will have to become a threesome from now on - Gargle Blaster mattified is SO SO JUMMM. Which is why you will now be overwhelmed by a massive amount of pictures.

BIG LOVE. I adore how the glitters look in the different layers, they are so pretty. To me, they look like they're peacefully floating around on my nails just like they would float around in the bottle. I am also amazingly pleased with my pictures of this polish bwt!

And here's a close-up shot to make you lust after this gorgeous beast even more:

OOH LA LA. DO YOU SEE THAT GLITTER?! DO YOU SEE IT?! If you are not screaming your lungs out in excitement right now, I don't think you saw it properly.

So, in conclusion. I'm in love. And if you'll excuse me now, I have a trip to Costa Rica to plan!
What do you think of Gargle Blaster? Do you prefer the shiny version or the mattified threesome?

You can get Gargle Blaster from the Painted Sabotage Etsy shop here and definitely take a look at her other polishes as well! I think Hate Tank, Shall We Go and Ocean Song all look awesome as well :)

As I said, I had the luck to win Gargle Blaster, and it has totally convinced me to try out a lot more polishes from Painted Sabotage. I'm just beyond happy with it, the formula is perfect and the colours are so gorgeous. I feel that Painted Sabotage really has some unique polishes colour-wise - did you see Morgulon? Jum!

All these polishes are 3-free (No Dibutyl Phtalate, no Formaldehyde and no Toluene) btw and come in bottles of 15 ml.

I hope you enjoyed this post! It was a really really long (but I hope enthusiastically fun) one and I applaud you if you read it all the way to the end!! :D

  7. This is indeed a gorgeous one and I like it in both ways glossy and matte too...maybe more the matte one because the glitters are more visible. Have a great weekend and a lot of surprises...polishes from Santa :)
