OMG Nail Strips review - Geometric design

*Disclaimer: this item was received for review. All opinions expressed are my own and are not influenced by anyone or anything.

Hi everyone!

Like I said in my last review of the OMG Nail Strips, I received two sets of strips with a different design on them. In my last review, I already showed you the Blue Leopard ones. Now, I have a very cool geometric design to show you! (EDIT: you can see the Geometric Nail Strips here on their website!)

I already explained just about everything you need to know in my previous review of the Blue Leopard strips, so I am just going to give the basics here and if you need more information you can check the other review here :)

In a pack, you get 14 nail polish strips in 6 different sizes: 10mm, 11.5mm, 13mm, 13.5mm, 14.5mm, 16mm and 17.5mm.

Here's an instruction video on how to apply the nail strips. If you want more info, just check my previous post ;)

Now, I spent about an hour to apply the Blue Leopard strips on my right hand - because this was the first time I had everrrr used nail strips and I really wanted to do it right. On my left hand with the Blue Leopard strips, I spent 30 minutes.

I'm so glad to say that I was able to do my two hands with the Geometric design in 40 minutes now! So you definitely improve and it really gets easier to work with these once you have done it a few times :) I actually had almost no wrinkles this time (only one on my thumb and one my ring finger of my left hand).

This time, I did use a ridge filling base coat (from Hêrome) first and it really makes such a difference: the tiny flaws of my nails aren't visible anymore. I also used my Fast Drying Top Coat from Only You instead of the Top Shine by Sinful Colors.7

Both hands! I love how this design looks <3

And a macro shot to show you the geometric design (and so you can see how much difference my ridge filling base coat is!):

I love this design a lot, and the strips were easy to apply like the Blue Leopard ones. It only got better because I had some more practice with applying them so it went easier and faster this time :)

I got a looooot of compliments on these by the way: all my friends loved the pattern!

I couldn't resist doing some nail art of course! At first, I really wanted to go over all the white lines with a glow in the dark top coat - that would have been so cool! Unfortunately my glow in the dark top coat from Essence sucksssss, and you have to go over every spot like 5 times if you want it to actually glow :/ So I only did a few lines because I really did not have the patience to do everything five times.

I have to say that I luuuurve it! How cool does this look!

And of course I had to do a big collage with both the leopard strips and the geometric ones! :D

Like I mentioned in my previous review, OMG Nail Polish Strips are available on their website here for $7.99 per package (one design, 14 strips).

They're also offering some discounts right now: there's a 5 for $25 promotion with the coupon code "5pack" and a 10 for $45 promotion with the coupon code "10pack". They also started offering nail art party packs here.

You can also find OMG Nail Strips on Instagram: @omgnailstrips or use the hashtag #omgnailstrips. And they're on Facebook as well: https://www.facebook.com/OmgNailStrips if you're interested in following them there :)

What do you think of these? Which design do you like most, the blue leopard ones of the geometric ones? And do you like my glow in the dark addition? :D

Thanks for reading!

    1. Thanks Lucy!! I missed you, I'm glad that this week I was able to see another one of your great designs again :) (I don't have Instagram so I can't follow you there sadly)

Haha no I wouldn't have the patience to freehand all the lines either, that's why I chose this design because I thought "well I won't ever do this freehand so I might as well have some nail strips like this!" :D

  7. Again, these look amazing!! I'm so glad to hear that the second time is quicker and easier to apply! I love black and white nails so I'm definitely drawn to these! I have to say though, the blue leopard print ones have the edge and this is only because when you added the black border they were soooooo nice! Oh and I love the glow in the dark touch, it looks so retro! xx

    1. Thank you Emily! Yeah I was glad too that it went quicker the second time, I guess it's only normal that you get better at stuff when you've done them a few times! I am also torn between the leopard print + border and these, I love both looks! :)

    1. Dankjewel Miriam! Haha, ik denk dat het me meer werk zou kosten om al die lijntjes te gaan schilderen op mijn nagels, dus even moeite doen met nail wraps heb ik er wel voor over! ;)

  10. This pattern looks great on your nails shape, optically it lengthens it in my opinion. Love the final result!
